A delayed visit

After a busy few weeks its difficult to find time to spend to yourself. For many they spend their down time relaxing, reading, going out, you know the drill. However, for myself the down time has been spent trying to get back on track with my writing - easier said then done - but, if there is one thing I like about my fathers it's that I can sit and be free to write my inner most thoughts. Problem is at the moment I don't seem to have many inner most thoughts. My brain seems consumed with university and drinking (yes, I see how that's not a surprise since I am a student) but I cannot allow myself to stop writing. Therefore, I have completed a visit I've been delaying, that is, to visit father.

As usual this delayed visit was nothing out of the ordinary, people arguing, travelling on smelly trains and sleeping in an awkward bed. That being said, there is one thing that was different on this visit, that is, my new laptop. Its touchscreen, windows 8 and very very fancy, for many this is nothing new, for someone who has had the same laptop for 4 years, this is definitely something new.

Now, I don't want it to seem that I only care about presents and getting free stuff, but it is a bonus to spending a few days at a farm. To round it off I'm going to finish with a little thought. Since when did laptops turn into phones and all of a sudden you can download apps! I feel like a old man sitting here talking about new technology but I feel as though new life has been sprung inside me. No I'm not pregnant but this laptop, it is my baby and it will be treated with the upmost respect a real child should deserve.
